Ampareen assures pressure groups to provide medical equipment to Nongstoin hospital

Nongstoin, June 26: The pressure groups of West Khasi Hills which include the HYC, HNYM and the Ri Khasi Sepngi Federation (RKSF) today met the Health Minister Dr Ampareen Lyngdoh at Nongstoin regarding the transfer of the medical equipment from the 50-bed Maternity & Child Hospital (MCH) in Nongstoin to Mawkyrwat Civil Hospital in South West Khasi Hills.

After meeting with the Health Minister the pressure groups has allowed the transfer of the remaining medical equipment to Mawkyrwat since the Minister has given an assurance that the medical equipment for the Maternity and Child Hospital in Nongstoin will be sanctioned within 3 months.

The pressure groups when speaking wo Pressmen here after the meeting has agreed the assurance made by the Health Minister Dr Ampareen Lyngdoh where they have promise to follow up the matter as per the assurance.
