Other regions expecting heavy showers include Odisha, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and the Northeastern states.

Fatalities were reported in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh due to rain-related incidents. In the Kandyal village of Purola tehsil, Uttarkashi district, a youth named Abhishek (20) was killed while transplanting in a field, with three others injured.

The IMD has issued an ‘orange alert’ for several districts in Uttarakhand. In Himachal Pradesh, one person drowned in both Hamirpur and Shimla districts, as reported by the State Emergency Operation Centre.

Flash floods resulting from a cloudburst have affected Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, leading to blockage of the Mandi-Kullu National Highway. The region has suffered significant damage, including houses and bridges.
