Shillong, June 26: Despite facing trolling and criticism, Prabhas’ film Adipurush witnessed a slight increase in collections over the weekend. On Sunday, June 25, the film earned Rs 6 crore at the box office, defying negative word of mouth. However, trade reports suggest that the upcoming week will be crucial in determining the film’s longevity in theaters.

Directed by Om Raut, Adipurush was released in five languages worldwide on June 16, generating high expectations. The film has grossed over Rs 400 crore globally and is on its way to reaching the Rs 450 crore mark. With a domestic collection of approximately Rs 6 crore on Sunday, the film’s total collection after 10 days stands at Rs 274.55 crore.

On June 25, Adipurush recorded an occupancy rate of 16.34% in India. Its performance in the second and third week will be closely observed. To attract more viewers to cinemas, the ticket prices for the film have been reduced to Rs 112.

Adipurush, a mythological action film based on Valmiki’s Ramayana, is written and directed by Om Raut. Made on a massive budget of Rs 500 crore, the film features Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, and Kriti Sanon in lead roles. It was simultaneously shot in Hindi and Telugu.
