Security forces recover weapons, ammunition from Imphal East

Guwahati, June 27:  The Army and the Assam Rifles during a joint operation conducted with Manipur Police Kairang Turel Mapal in Imphal East District of Manipur recovered  arms, ammunition and other war-like stores during the early morning today.

During the search operation, two suspects were also apprehended. The recovery includes five weapons, two country-made weapons, a large quantity of mixed ammunition, and other miscellaneous war like stores.

The Apprehended persons and recovered items were handed over to Heingang police station of Imphal East district.
