Office-bearers
The Synjuk ki Seng Samla Shnong recently elected office-bearers for its central body and its Shillong city unit. The new office-bearers of the Shillong city unit include Pynshaibok Diengdoh as chairman, Symper Ryntathiang as working chairman, Samuel Biam as vice chairman, and Vivian R kharkongor and Khraw Mynsong as general secretaries. Similarly, the new office bearers for its central body include Vanshan Buhphang as chairman and Ricky Pathaw as general secretary.
The Dorbar Shnong Mawlai Nongpdeng recently elected new office-bearers for its executive committee. With this, the new office-bearers include Kitkuparlang Kharshiïng (Rangbah Shnong), Levarson Bamon (assistant Rangbah Shnong), Lamboklang Marbaniang (secretary), Koneth Marbaniang (assistant secretary) and Phridian Marbaniang (finance secretary).

Unclaimed body
On Thursday around 04:40 pm, information was received at Ladrymbai Outpost from Ti Suchiang, headman of Ladrymbai Datsimpien, East Jaintia Hills, that an unidentified body had been spotted inside an abandoned shop located opposite petrol pump Ladrymbai, Datsympien. It was after this an enquiry was conducted by police officials of Ladrymbai outpost. Accordingly, inquest was conducted and after observing all legal formalities, the body has been kept at the morgue room of Khliehriat Civil Hospital. According to a statement here, the deceased is approximately 45 to 50 years old, is approximately 5.4-foot tall, has a thin built, tan/swarthy complexion, short black hair, and was found wearing grey cargo pants and black T-shirt. Meanwhile, all concerned who can identify the deceased have been asked to contact 9863132388.
