Programme
The Rabindranath Tagore Club (RTC), Laban, as part of the 13th Inter Shillong Cultural Event-2023, will organise various events such as Rabindra Sangeet, folk song, dance on Tagore song, Art, rangoli, essay, fun games, recitation in English and Bengali, antakshree, and dance on Hindi songs. According to a statement here, the competition will begin from July 16 and will continue till August 6 (every Sunday). Forms for the competition are available at Jyoti Medical Hall, Laban; Pappu Medical, Laban; Hotel Vishal, Last Stop; Papa Enterprise, Keating Road; and AJ Medical, Dhupighat, Laban.
Office-bearers
The Jaintia Students’ Union on Friday organised a meeting in Khliehriat to elect new office-bearers for the union’s Khliehriat circle. During the meeting, Livingson Dkhar Sana was elected as president, Ajoymension Lyngdoh as general secretary, Winchester Salahe as vice president, Niboy Rymbai as assistant secretary, et al.
