Mini marathon in city as ABVP turns 75

SHILLONG, July 9: A mini marathon was organised by the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Shillong unit, as part of the celebration of ABVP’s 75th foundation day here on Sunday. The event saw participation of 210 youths aged 15-30 years.
Meghalaya-based arm wrestler Allan Marbanianag was the chief guest on the occasion.
Others who were present included state president of ABVP Sashankutlang Khongremthem, Shillong town president Sentina Mawlong, Shillong town secretary Fellinika Dkhar, CWC member Darilin Tang, Shillong town organising secretary Harsh Ranjan and ABVP karyakartas.
Cash prizes along with certificates and memento were presented to the winners of the mini marathon, while certificate of participation were presented to all.
In the girls’ category, Gloryfy Kurbah bagged the first prize followed by Marqueenless Ramsies (2nd) and Lynti Jingkyrmen Kharjahrin (3rd).
Among the boys, Daniel Lyngdoh Wahlang was the winner, followed by second and third prize winners Wolbetstar Ramsiej and Sainkupar Jyrwa respectively.
