JOWAI, July 12: Pushing more vigorously on the third day of the ongoing sit-in, the Jaintia Students Movement (JSM) on Wednesday chanted slogans in front of the JHADC yard.
It may be mentioned that the JSM has demanded the removal of entry tax gate erected in Khanduli village of West Jaintia Hills by the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council. The youths and elderly people of Khanduli were in unison with the JSM in their demand.
The student organisation has asserted that they will resort to a more stern form of agitation if the district administration is reluctant to get rid of the tax gate.
