NONGSTOIN, July 19: The KSU Mawshynrut Circle on Wednesday reminded the government to ensure health facilities for Riangdo Community Health Centre.
The union leaders met Medical & Health Officer of Riangdo CHC and found out that the health centre lacks basic services such as medicines, drips, syringe, bed sheets and gloves, while also lacking the manpower.
On the lacunae, KSU general secretary Ulysis Ryntong asked the government to upgrade the number of beds to 50 from 30 at the CHC, augment the centre with X-Ray and Ultrasound facilities, and appoint doctors and specialists.
The KSU also urged the local MLA, Methodius Dkhar to take up their demand with the government and follow it up as top priority.
