SHILLONG, July 21: A local court on Friday granted bail to two members of a pressure group who were arrested in connection with the arson case at the Laitumkhrah police station on July 7.
Police sources said the two pressure group members were arrested on Thursday from their residence in Laitkor and Laitumkhrah, respectively.
Sources said the court granted the bail with the observation that the arrests were not justified.
“There was nothing on record or any ground which the police could provide to the court to suggest the involvement of the duo in the arson case,” the sources said.
