Police seize ganja weighing 69 kg in East Jaintia Hills

JOWAI, July 27: Police in East Jaintia Hills nabbed three persons with 69 kg of marijuana at Kongong, East Jaintia Hills, on Thursday.
On credible inputs, a joint team of ANTF and staff of Ladrymbai Outpost intercepted a vehicle (AS-04-J-0171) at Kongong village. A search was conducted and 91 packets containing suspected marijuana was recovered from the car.
Preliminary test on the substance tested positive for marijuana.
The arrested persons are Mintu Das and Bijay Kr Roy, residents of Assam, and Arvind Kumar from Bihar.
