Groups apprise ministers of various issues plaguing SGH

TURA, July 30: Three organisations from South Garo Hills – the Niksamso Garo Community Organization (NGCO), ADE and the AYWO on Saturday met various ministers from Garo Hills and submitted memorandums in connection with various issues.
The groups jointly met Education Minister Rakkam A Sangma and urged him to look into the issue of abandoned Government LP schools under the district and initiate their repair and restoration at the earliest.
The members also met PHE Minister Marcuise Marak seeking the facilitation of proper water supply for all nooks and corners of Garo Hills.
They also met Power Minister A T Mondal with regard to the power scenario in South Garo Hills, urging him to ensure uninterrupted power supply especially during the rainy season.
Further they sought the intervention of Baghmara MLA Kartus R Marak in setting up of the Taxation Department and the upgradation of the Baghmara Civil Hospital with necessary equipment.
