Jowai, July 30: The Jaintia National Council (JNC) has urged the state government to include Waheh Shnong and Daloi in the regional committee for West Jaintia Hills.
The JNC has expressed its unhappiness over the alleged setting up of a tax gate in Khanduli village, West Jaintia by the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC).
They said that Assam has allegedly violated the agreement of the regional committees from both sides for an amicable discussion to solve the long pending border issue between the two states. They also alleged that the JHADC is a mere spectator while the KAAC is allegedly continuing its encroachment into Meghalaya territory.
