NEW DELHI, Aug 10: Meghalaya’s Minister for Animal Husbandry and Fisheries AL Hek, who went around the Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya (Prime Ministers Museum) here, was impressed about the great national monument and the lucid way it depicts India’s journey of democracy.
The curious minister looking at the highly technological innovations said, “This is a highly technological innovation which I have not seen anywhere else in the country or outside.” The new Prime Ministers Museum is a very unique concept with great technology setup and is a seamless blend, he added.
The museum tells the story of how our Prime Ministers navigated the nation through various challenges and ensured all-round progress of the country. It expresses the nation’s commitment to democracy and that the institution’s name should reflect its new form, Hek said on Wednesday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi mooted the idea of setting up a museum dedicated to all the Prime Ministers on Teen Murti premises in 2016.
The museum, depicting the collective journey of democracy in Independent India and highlighting the contribution of each Prime Minister in nation-building, was opened to the public recently.
