UDP’s youth wing demands immediate mending of road

Shillong, Aug 12: The youth wing of the UDP, Shillong on Saturday voiced their demand for immediate repair of an important stretch of road linking Shillong Commerce College with Don Bosco Square.
The road is in shambles creating problems for commuters and pedestrians – predominantly the students, they said. The protestors also pointed out that the potholed stretch of road aggravates the traffic snarl which has become a unending problem that plagues the city.
“We urge the government to acknowledge the urgency of the matter and promptly initiate the necessary actions’.
