Arrests made in Jadavpur University fresher’s mysterious death

Shillong, August 16: Four individuals, including both current and former Jadavpur University (JU) students, were apprehended by the police in connection with the perplexing demise of a freshman on the university campus.

The arrests followed intensive overnight questioning by investigators. The accused, identified as Muhammad Asif, Muhammad Arif, Ankan Sardar, and Asit Sardar, are scheduled for a court appearance.

This recent development brings the total number of arrests to seven, shedding light on the issue of monitoring and administrative responsibility within the university.
