Jowai, Aug 18: The Behdeinkhlam of the Sein Raij Muhkla in West Jaintia concluded on Friday.
The closing ceremony celebration was attended by the Deputy Chief Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar as the chief guest in the presence of Local MLA Wailadmiki Shylla, Santamary Shylla MLA Sutnga-Saipung, Doloi Elaka Jowai Puramon Kynjing, JHADC MDC President SR Mukhla and others.
Twelve rots were brought at the pool called Wah Biar (Aitnar) of Sein raij Mukhla. Various rituals were performed by the priest along with his minister including ki Wasan, Wania, ki Sangot.
Mukhla Behdeinkhlam is the last Behdeinkhlam festival of the year in the entire Jaintia Hills celebrated annually by the Sein Raij.
The Sein Raij Mukhla submitted a memorandum to the Dy CM seeking grants for the construction of VIP gallery, public gallery, parking area and footpath, toilet and others.
