SHILLONG, Aug 18: A local court has remanded three cadres of the newly-floated militant outfit National Liberation Council of Nongkyndong (NLCN) in 10 days of police custody.
Police said on Friday that four cadres were produced before the court and of them was admitted to the hospital.
Asked to give an update on the investigation, police said they have not been able to interrogate the arrested leaders and cadres as they have to follow due procedures like producing them before the court and taking them to the hospital.
Police have earlier 11 members of the group including a juvenile, who is a class 10 student and suspected to be the self-styled chairman of the NLCN. A woman who was arrested an identified as the recruiter and record-keeper of the outfit, was admitted to Ganesh Das Hospital after she was found to be pregnant.
