Shillong, August 20: Eleven laborers lost their lives in a militant assault in North Waziristan district within Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, as disclosed by Pakistan’s caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar on Sunday.

Using the social media platform X, previously known as Twitter, Pakistan’s caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar conveyed, “It’s truly heartbreaking to receive news of the terrorist attack in North Waziristan, resulting in the tragic demise of 11 innocent laborers. I vehemently denounce this purposeless display of violence and express my unwavering support for the affected families.”

The incident unfolded late on Saturday night when a private vehicle transporting the laborers encountered a landmine in the Gull Meer Kor area, as reported by Dawn, citing local authorities.
