SHILLONG, Aug 31: The pursuit of a key link in a case of drug peddling in East Jaintia Hills has led to the arrest of one Jahangir Alom, who has been identified as the financer for procurement of illegal drugs.
This bust by East Jaintia Hills police on Wednesday is linked to the case dated June 19 wherein police arrested drug peddlers Tuanbiaklian Guite (a Manipur resident) and Imliakum Longkumer (a resident of Nagaland).
The EJH police had received the assistance of Assam police from Goalpara.
According to a statement, Alom will be produced before a court in Khliehriat.
