JNC demands full-fledged Tourism Office and Information Centre in EJHD

Jowai, September 11: The Jaiñtia National Council (JNC) Khliehriat Circle, gtoday  led by its submitted a memorandum to the Tourism Minister Paul Lyngdoh through the Deputy Commissioner of East Jaintia Hills District (EJHD) A Baranwal demanding a full-fledged  Tourism Officer and a properly functioning well-equipped Tourist Office & Information Centre in EJHD.
In the letter the JNC states that “Regarding the subject mentioned above, based on our inspection on the 31st of August we discovered that the Tourism officer and the staff of the Tourist Officer & Information Centre were not present in the office and we also found that the Officer in charge and their staff had been absent for long period of time. Furthermore, we would like to address the urgent need to appoint a fully equipped and dedicated Tourism Officer to the Tourist Officer & Information Centre “.
