SHILLONG, Sep 12: In an attempt to break the ice between the Vice Chancellor of NEHU and Meghalaya College Teachers Association (MCTA), who are in an active tussle over NEP implementation, former MLA PT Sawkmie on Tuesday urged the MCTA to reconsider their stand of non-cooperation movement.
He lamented that the parents and students are in a quandary as classes are going on in some colleges while in others they are affected due to the impasse.
“It is the students who will suffer,” Sawkmie said, while adding that parents are concerned over the stalemate as many states in the country have already moved ahead with NEP while Meghalaya is still stuck on the matter.
