SHILLONG, Sep 15: Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Friday said the state government has received a response from the Centre on the Meghalaya Residents Safety and Security Act (MRSSA) and the government is examining how to move forward on the matter.
He, however, did not reveal whether the response was positive or otherwise.
On the long-pending demand for ILP, the CM said the matter was in the central government’s domain.
He mentioned that ILP is not the concern but the issue is illegal immigration and infiltration.
