BSF DG reviews security along border in state

SHILLONG, Sep 19: The Director General of Border Security Force (BSF), Nitin Agrawal, arrived on a two-day visit to Meghalaya Frontier BSF on Tuesday to review the current security scenario and operational preparedness along the Indo-Bangla border.
The BSF DG was welcomed by IG BSF Meghalaya, Pradip Kumar, and other senior officers at BSF campus, Umpling.
Kumar briefed the DG about the general security scenario and operational preparedness along the border of Meghalaya Frontier. The IG also briefed the DG about the challenges and measures taken to counter them.
Agrawal interacted with field commanders and applauded the dedication of BSF personnel in safeguarding the borders and their efforts to control crime along the international border. The DG BSF also inaugurated the Officers’ Institute at BSF Frontier HQ Umpling.
