Survey of urban areas in Jowai

Jowai, Sep 25: West Jaintia Hills Deputy Commissioner has informed that the state Geographic Information System (GIS) and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) centre is scheduled to conduct an UAV and Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS) survey over urban area of Jowai from September 25 to October 4.
He further informed that the permission has been granted to Kishore Kumar, Consultant State GIS and UAV centre for flying UAV in Jowai to conduct the survey.
The comprehensive survey aims to facilitate improve urban development and planning by generating high resolution maps and land use land cover (LULC) data. The valuable outputs will contribute to the advancement and enhancement of the urban landscape.
