Shillong, October 4: In anticipation of the 2023 cricket World Cup, actress Anushka Sharma engaged in a lighthearted exchange with her husband, Indian cricketer Virat Kohli, regarding tournament tickets.

The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 is scheduled to kick off on October 5, with defending champions England facing New Zealand at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.

As per IANS, Virat took to Instagram stories to share a post, humorously stating, “As we approach the World Cup, I would humbly like to let all my friends know not to request me for tickets at all throughout the tournament. Enjoy from your homes, please.”

Anushka also shared Virat’s post on her Instagram stories and added her own message: “And let me just add… please don’t request me to help if your messages go unanswered. Thank you for your understanding.”

Earlier, Anushka, amidst swirling pregnancy rumors, declined to pose for photographers, further fueling speculations. Although the pregnancy rumors began over the weekend, the actress has yet to address them and has maintained her silence.

Anushka, who made her Bollywood debut in the Aditya Chopra-directed ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ opposite Shah Rukh Khan, tied the knot with Virat in December 2017. The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Vamika, on January 11, 2021.

On the professional front, Anushka will soon portray the role of former Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami, renowned as one of the fastest female bowlers of all time and one of the greatest female bowlers in the sport’s history. This film marks Anushka’s return to the screen after a five-year hiatus.
