Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’ continues Box Office triumph

Shillong, October 5: ‘Jawan,’ the blockbuster starring Shah Rukh Khan, shows no signs of slowing down at the box office even after 28 days since its release.

The film, which hit theaters on September 7, has been on an impressive record-breaking streak.

As per India Today, upon its release, ‘Jawan’ garnered positive reviews from both fans and critics, achieving the highest opening day collection in the history of Hindi cinema, amassing a remarkable Rs 129.06 crore worldwide.

According to trade reports, on its 28th day, October 4, ‘Jawan’ witnessed a slight dip in collections, earning Rs 2 crore net in India. Nonetheless, the cumulative collection remains impressive, reaching a staggering Rs 615.72 crore. On October 4, the film maintained an overall occupancy rate of 12.14 percent.

On the global stage, ‘Jawan’ has already crossed the coveted Rs 1,000 crore mark. The Atlee-directed movie is also reportedly the second highest-grossing Indian film in Germany.

Directed by Tamil filmmaker Atlee, ‘Jawan’ made its worldwide debut on September 7 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. This high-octane action thriller features an ensemble cast, including Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone in a special appearance, and Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role. ‘Jawan’ delves into a father-son narrative while addressing various social and political issues.

The film also boasts a supporting cast, including Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Girija Oak, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Lehar Khan, Aaliyah Qureshi, Ridhi Dogra, Sunil Grover, Mukesh Chhabra, and features a cameo appearance by Sanjay Dutt.
