State aquatic c’ship showcases M’laya’s swimming talent

Shilong, Oct 7: In a spectacular display of aquatic prowess, the 16th State Aquatic Championship 2023 was held on Saturday at the Crinoline Swimming Pool in Nongmalki.
This grand event, a collaborative effort between the Meghalaya Swimming Association and the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, drew hundreds of talented swimmers from across the state, all eager to demonstrate their swimming skills.The championship featured an array of challenging swimming events that put participants’ abilities to the test. These included the 50m freestyle, the 50m butterfly, the 200m medley swimming, and the backstroke and breaststroke swimming. Swimmers of diverse ages and backgrounds converged at the venue to engage in this thrilling competition, showcasing their aquatic prowess.
