SHILLONG, Oct 8: The Department of Zoology, Shillong College celebrated the National Wildlife Week 2023 on Sunday as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebration of the science department in Shillong College.
The celebration was inaugurated by Sachin Gavade, Indian Forest Services, Divisional Forest Officer, Khasi Hills Wildlife Division, Forest and Environment department, in the presence of the Principal, E Kharkongor, Vice-Principal, E Dkhar and Head of Department of Zoology, EM Pala.
A photography and quiz competition was also organised as part of the event, and was attended by teachers and students across colleges.
As part of the celebration, a lecture on scientific birding techniques was delivered by Jaydev Mandal on Friday.
