Private firm worker arrested for ‘raping’ sanitary worker
INDORE, Oct 10: A 26-year-old executive working with a private company was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly raping a woman sanitary worker in the toilet of a shopping mall here.The company where the accused as well as the woman work is located inside the mall, said Mahila police station in-charge Preeti Tiwari.When the woman went to work on September 25, the accused called her to the men’s toilet in the mall and allegedly raped her, she told police.The complainant is married and has a child, the official said.The accused also allegedly threatened her with serious consequences if she disclosed the incident to anyone.A case has been registered against the accused, who hails from West Bengal, under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 376 (rape) and 506 (intimidation), and further investigation is on, Tiwari said. UP teacher booked for eloping with minor student
GONDA, Oct 10: The Uttar Pradesh Police have lodged a case against a 50-year-old teacher who allegedly eloped with a minor student in Uttar Pradesh’s Gonda district.A case of kidnapping was lodged on Monday in connection with the incident as the girl is 17-year-old.Police said the girl, who has been missing since Friday, has taken Rs 30,000 cash and jewellery from her home. The accused taught Hindi to the minor.In her complaint, the girl’s father has also accused the teacher of uploading a video of his daughter with him in an objectionable position.Gonda Additional Superintendent of Police Shiv Raj said that the priority of the police is to trace the girl. “We have got some details of the teacher who originally hails from Bahraich and teams are raiding all possible hideouts,” he said.“We have alerted all the bus stops and railway stations in the region,” he said.Locals also told police that the accused used to stalk the girl whenever she ventured out or visited the market. ‘Bride’ who went on looting spree, finally arrested
KANPUR, Oct 10: In what seems to be a perfect replay of the Sonam Kapoor starrer ‘Dolly ki Doli’, police in Kanpur have arrested a ‘bride’ who used to loot ‘grooms’ after marrying them and then impersonating as an Income Tax inspector.Going by different names – Shivangi Sisodia, Pinki Gautam and Savita Shastri the woman would marry unsuspecting men and then disappear within a short span, along with their cash, jewellery and other valuables.The fraudster ‘bride’ was caught on the complaint of her latest victim Jitendra Gautam, a constable by profession.He approached the police after she duped him of Rs 10 lakhs and he grew suspicious about her.In 2016, he became friends with Shivangi Sisodia a.k.a. Savita Devi a.k.a Pinki Gautam of Khushipura in Jhansi through a social media platform and they decided to get married.Even before marriage, she took Rs 6.21 lakhs from the constable to buy an SUV. The constable told investigators that even her relatives turned out to be fake whom she had hired on rent.Her true face came to fore when the constable once returned home from duty and found her with another man, said the official.
