3rd edition of Elaka Lakadong Football Tournament 2023-24 set to kick off

Jowai, Oct 22: The Elaka Lakadong Sports Association (ELSA), headquartered in Lakadong Umlatdoh village, East Jaintia Hills, is all geared up to host the 3rd Elaka Lakadong Knockout Football Tournament 2023-2024. The primary aim of this event is to inspire and engage aspiring young talents within the football arena.
In a warm invitation extended to all village clubs falling within the jurisdiction of Elaka, ELSA is enthusiastically encouraging their active participation in this significant tournament.
The championship will not only offer recognition but also substantial prizes. The victorious team will seize a cash prize of ₹50,000 along with a coveted trophy, while the runner-up will return home with a ₹30,000 prize and a trophy.
The tournament will comprise a total of 16 teams, with an entry fee of ₹3,500 for each participating team. The last date for the submission of the entry fee is October 31, 2023. The eagerly anticipated drawing for team matchups is scheduled for October 4, 2023, at 2:30 pm, taking place in Umlangsha village.
N.L. Talang, the General Secretary of ELSA, has officially issued this notification, ushering in an exciting and competitive phase for the football enthusiasts in the region.
This initiative stands as a testament to ELSA’s dedication to nurturing local talent and promoting the beautiful game of football within the community.
