EAC to host annual exercise ‘Ex Poorvi Akash’

SHILLONG, Oct 25: The Eastern Air Command (EAC) will conduct its annual Command level exercise – Ex Poorvi Akash from October 30 till November 5.
The exercise will comprise application of air power in all its roles and will be conducted by day and night. The exercise also comprises joint operations with Eastern Command (EC) of Indian Army in the challenging mountainous terrain.
It will involve activation of the entire eastern sector.
The special forces of the Indian Air Force, the Garuds will participate in special missions along with the Special Forces (SF) of Indian Army.
Air Defence assets of Indian Army and Indian Air Force will also be deployed to simulate a realistic battle scenarios.
All major fleets of IAF will be participating in the exercise along with special mission aircraft.
