SHILLONG, Nov 1: SpiceJet has begun operating nonstop flights between Shillong and Kolkata, making air travel between the two cities easier.
SpiceJet began offering flights on the route last week. The flight operates everyday except Sunday.
IndiGo was the lone operator on the Shillong-Kolkata route.
With more people travelling by plane to the state, the decision is probably going to boost the tourism industry.
SpiceJet also operates a direct route between Shillong and New Delhi on select days of the week.
