In a recent pre-match press conference, Head Coach Bobby Nongbet expressed his anticipation for the upcoming season, particularly their first face-off against Mohammedan Sporting. He described their journey to qualify for the I-League as an exciting experience and conveyed his eagerness to kickstart the season. Coach Nongbet acknowledged the challenges his team faces, especially after a demanding preseason marked by squad building and player acquisitions.
Notably, a significant portion of their squad hails from the club’s youth system, and the return of experienced players such as Phrangki, Kenstar, Kynsai, and Allen, coupled with the addition of four foreign recruits, has bolstered their ranks.

Assessing the impending match, Coach Nongbet acknowledged that it would be one of Lajong’s most challenging encounters this season. Playing away from home and facing a formidable opponent, Mohammedan SC, who recently secured victory against Aizawl FC, poses a tough test for the team. He also commended coach Andrey Chernyshov and his squad for their previous performance.
Football enthusiasts can catch all the action live on Eurosport India, while those preferring online streaming can tune in to the Indian Football YouTube channel or Fancode, a popular choice among OTT users.
