MSME Ministry to hold conclave in city today

SHILLONG, Nov 8: The National SC-ST Hub Mega Conclave will be held at the State Convention Centre on here Thursday to spread awareness on the National Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Hub (NSSH) Scheme and other schemes of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), which will organise the event.
At the event, SC-ST entrepreneurs can interact with Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSES), financial institutions, Government e Marketplace (GeM), state government departments and enhance the participation of SC/ST MSEs in public procurement.
MSME sector plays a significant role in terms of job creation and improving livelihood.
The sector consist of more than 6 crore units employing over 11 crore people, contributing significantly to economic growth with nearly 30% of contribution to GDP and over 459% of overall exports from India.
