Shillong, Nov 13: Rangdajied United FC kicked off their campaign in the Third Division League (I-League 3) with an impressive 5-0 triumph over Millat FC from Maharashtra in Goa on Monday.
The action-packed Group C match witnessed an outstanding performance by Owanijuh Pajuh, who netted twice in the 16th and 34th minutes, giving Rangdajied a comfortable 2-0 lead.
The dominance continued until the 76th minute when substitute Damehun Syih made an impact, adding his name to the scoresheet just 15 minutes after entering the field.In the dying moments of the game, two more substitutes showcased their prowess, with Oresterwell Langshiang (90’+2) and Stephanson Pale (90’+4) securing a comprehensive victory for RUFC with late goals.
Looking ahead, Rangdajied United FC is set to face Kickstart FC from Karnataka on Wednesday at 9 AM, marking the latter’s inaugural match in the tournament.
The lineup for Rangdajied United FC in the match included Banshanskhem Kharsyntiew as the goalkeeper, with Apborlang Kurbah, Ksankupar Khongmalai, Arlangky Nongsiej, Balamlynti Khongjee, Tremiki Lamurong (substitute for Damehun Syih in the 61st minute), Ieitlang Syiemlieh (substitute for Stephanson Pale in the 61st minute), Knerktilang Buam (substitute for Oresterwel Langshiang in the 79th minute), Dameki Khongstia (substitute for Dibormi Kassar in the 46th minute), Bansanbha Khongsdam, Owanijuh Pajuh (substitute for Wanlamsuk Nongkhlaw in the 79th minute).This resounding victory not only sets a promising tone for Rangdajied United FC in the tournament but also underscores their potential as a formidable contender in the quest for glory.
