Culvert caves-in immediately after construction in SGH; Garo group questions

Baghmara, Nov 18: A South Garo Hills based NGO has questioned the quality of work of a newly constructed culvert near the deputy commissioner’s office complex which caved-in just one after its construction was completed.
Niksamso Garo Community Organization (NGCO) Baghmara has raised serious concerns over the quality of the ongoing road construction within the deputy commissioner’s office complex after a culvert that was built caved-in immediately after it was constructed.
In a statement on Friday, the NGO pointed out that a recent drain culvert that was done just a day ago had caved-in raising questions over the quality of the work being executed. The damaged section is just in front of the office of the DTO.
“We are unhappy with the quality of the construction. We will not remain silent if they continue to execute poor work. We don’t want such quality work to be done in our district’, the NGCO reiterated.
