Shillong, Nov 20: In a thrilling culmination to the Oil-DFA All India Level Under-19 Inter-Academy Invitational Football Tournament, the Shillong Lajong FC U19 team emerged as the undisputed champions.
The final, held on Monday in Duliajan, Assam, saw a closely contested match, with Shillong Lajong securing victory over Siniolchu FC of Sikkim by a solitary goal. The decisive goal was expertly netted by Mebannangkiew Thabah, securing the championship for Shillong Lajong.
The standout performance in the final earned Samchaphrang Lato the coveted Man-of-the-Match award, adding another layer of recognition to Shillong Lajong’s dominant display throughout the tournament.

Pranav Sundarraman was recognized as the Best Goalkeeper, showcasing his exceptional skills between the posts.Nihaar Manorama received the title of Best Defender, underscoring the team’s defensive prowess.
