Molestation charge: NEHU official suspended

SHILLONG, Nov 22: The NEHU authorities on Wednesday suspended Assistant Director of Physical Education & Sports, Nantu Das in view of the ongoing investigation with regard to a criminal offence against him.
As per order issued by NEHU’s Registrar in-charge, Das was suspended with effect from the date of detention (November 19) under Sub-rule (2) of Rule 10 of the Central Civil Service (Classification Control and Appeal) Rules, 1965. The suspension order will remain until further orders.
Das, currently in police custody, was arrested for allegedly molesting a woman football referee.
