BSF prevents smuggling activities

SHILLONG, Nov 27: BSF troops on Sunday intercepted illicit smuggling activities in various operations and confiscated contraband items worth over Rs 11 lakh, while they were being smuggled into Bangladesh.
Acting on specific information, vigilant troops of BSF Meghalaya conducted various operations at Indo-Bangla border in Meghalaya, which led to the confiscation of buffalo, Phensedyl, Indian sugar, clothing items and other contraband items.
The goods were handed over to the Customs office.
