Nambie Marak into Master Chef finals; CM all praise

SHILLONG, Dec 2: Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma, on Saturday, exuded pride in announcing that tribal chef Nambie Jessica Marak from Meghalaya has reached the Finals of Master Chef India 8.
“So proud to learn that #Tribal Chef, Nambie Jessica Marak from Meghalaya has reached the Finals of #MasterChefIndia. Every culinary masterpiece that she presents is attached to very special stories of Meghalaya and the North East, giving people more insight into our rich tribal culture (sic),” the Chief Minister posted on X, formerly ‘Twitter’.
He added, “Excited to see where her journey takes her. Wishing her the best with the remaining part of the competition”.
Recently, the state government had awarded Marak for securing a spot in the semi-finals of the Master Chef India Season 8.
Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma expressed his joy over the triumph of Nambie Jessica Marak on the national platform.
Hailing from a remote village of Upper Rangsa in West Khasi Hills, Nambie is not just a talented chef but also a visionary. She is the brain behind ‘Eat Your Kappa’, a YouTube channel dedicated to the cuisine and culture of Northeast India, with focus on the Garo cooking method.
