Almost 1,000 cases taken up in Natl Lok Adalat across districts

SHILLONG, Dec 9: Nearly 1,000 cases were taken up during the National Lok Adalat which was organised in all districts of the state on Saturday by the Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA).
In the National Lok Adalat, 595 pre-litigation cases and 384 pending cases were taken up for settlement.
A total of 979 cases were taken up, of which 177 were settled amounting to a sum of around Rs 1.21 crore.
