Clarification
In the story dated December 22nd titled, ‘Govt moves SC against HC ruling on teachers engaging in politics,’ it was incorrectly stated that the disclosure was made by the Meghalaya College Teachers’ Association (MCTA). However, it is clarified that MCTA, as an organisation, is not associated with this disclosure. The press briefing and the writ petition in the high court were conducted by individual teachers. Any inconvenience caused is regretted.
