Wedding called off over bride’s side not serving mutton dish
HYDERABAD, Dec 26: Non-inclusion of a special mutton bone marrow dish in the non-vegetarian menu at an engagement led to the cancellation of the wedding in Telangana.The would-be groom’s family got angry at the dish not being served by the kin of the bride-to-be at the engagement recently.The man hails from Jagtiyal while the girl is a resident of Nizamabad.Though the girl’s family had served various non-vegetarian dishes to the guests at the engagement ceremony held in Nizamabad, the man’s family was unhappy over the missing mutton bone marrow dish in the menu.After the family of the bride-to-be confirmed that the mutton bone marrow preparation was not ordered by them, the prospective groom’s relatives had an argument over the issue.They felt insulted and blamed the girl’s kin for deliberately eliminating mutton bone marrow dish from the menu and decided to call off the engagement and the wedding. Man stabbed to death over Rs 1,000 in Delhi
NEW DELHI, Dec 26: A 29-year-old man died after he was stabbed multiple times with a knife by a man over a measly sum of Rs 1,000 in Delhi, an official said on Tuesday, adding that they have nabbed the accused.The accused was identified as Md Abdulla.When the police reached the spot, one man was found dead on a mattress and there was a lot of blood on the floor.The deceased was identified as Vinod a.k.a Vinnu. The man was libing in a rented accommodation.With the assistance of technical surveillance, one accused person was identified and Abdulla was arrested.The weapon (knife) of offence, clothes and shoes worn by the accused while committing the murder were also recovered.Vinod had gone to Abdulla’s house to demand his dues (amount of around Rs.1000-1500/-). He did not find Abdulla there, which made him angry and he shouted at the family members of Abdullah. When Abdullah came to know about Vinod’s misbehaviour with his family members, it irked him.Next day he came to Vinod’s place. An argument took place between them and Abdullah stabbed Vinod multiple times, causing his death. (IANS)

 

Ex-MLA’s son involved in BMW crash, say Hyderabad Police
HYDERABAD, Dec 26: Hyderabad Police are on the lookout for a former MLA’s son who rammed a BMW car into the barricades in front of Praja Bhavan, the official residence of Telangana Deputy Chief Minister.According to police, the incident occurred in the early hours of December 24. A car being driven at a high speed rammed into the barricades in front of Praja Bhavan in Begumpet area.The barricade and the front portion of the car were damaged in the incident. One of the occupants of the car escaped from the spot. Police caught hold of another youth, who was found not drunk.A case of negligent driving was registered against one Ibraheem. However, subsequent investigation revealed that Raheel, son of former MLA Md. Shakil Aamir, belonging to BRS, was driving the car.Rahel falsely presented an unrelated individual as the driver despite being at the wheel at the time of the accident. (IANS)
