Drugs worth Rs 6 cr seized, 1 held

SHILLONG, Jan 2: In A major haul, a drug trafficker was arrested and drugs worth Rs 6 crores were seized from his possession by East Jaintia Hills police at Khliehriat.
It was informed that a car was also seized from the hardcore interstate drug trafficker.
Chief Minister Conrad Sangma lauded the police department for a triumphant start to 2024. “As we embark on this New Year, our steadfast determination against drugs remains unshaken. Let’s forge ahead unitedly to realize the vision of a drug-free Meghalaya” he posted.
Further investigation into the matter is on.
