Fatal stabbing incident: 22-year-old youth stabbed to death in Delhi

Shillong, January 10: In southeast Delhi, a tragic incident unfolded as a 22-year-old individual, identified as Gaurav alias Lambu, was fatally stabbed to death by a group of five, including three juveniles, according to an official statement on Wednesday.

As per IANS, the authorities received information about the incident on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday, prompting the dispatch of a police team from Badarpur police station. Deputy Commissioner of Police (southeast) Rajesh Deo provided details, stating that during a patrol in the Gautampuri area near Meet chowk, the police observed three to four individuals dragging an unconscious and severely injured man.

Gaurav succumbed to his injuries, and the police, along with available staff, pursued the assailants towards BIW Colony, eventually capturing them near NTPC gate No. 1. The identified perpetrators include Armaan a.k.a Kurru and two juveniles.

Upon interrogation, it was disclosed that they engaged in a confrontation with Gaurav to settle personal scores. The altercation escalated, leading to multiple stabbings and Gaurav’s tragic demise. Subsequently, two additional associates, Sahid and another juvenile, were apprehended.

The authorities recovered the blood-stained weapon used in the crime and Gaurav’s body was transported to AIIMS Mortuary for further procedures.
