Fabrizio Bakynsai Majaw (7′) gave the home side the lead but this was cancelled out a mere two minutes later by Chandan Boro (9′).
Lajong, though, were able to go into the break with the edge again after Yohaan Benjamin netted the first of his goals today in the 43rd minute.
2-1 was how it stayed until a manic last few minutes that saw as many as four goals scored.
First up was Banlamkupar Rynjah (83′), followed by Yohaan again (85′), Banlamkupar again (88′) and finally Ricky Kharkongor (90’+4) to make it a grandstand finish.

After seven matches played, Lajong have 11 points, tied with second-placed Aizawl FC but well behind leaders Football 4 Change Academy of Manipur, who have 16 points. The battle is thus only for second place, with NorthEast United (currently on 9 points) also in the mix.

The last matches will be held on Wednesday. Lajong will take on Aizawl at First Ground and NEUFC will be up against F4CA at Third Ground, with both fixtures kicking off at 2PM.
