M’laya to host archery event of Khelo India University Games

Shillong, Feb 12: Meghalaya will host the Khelo India University Games 2024 Archery Event at SAI, STC, Shillong from February 20-24, 2024.
To increase public awareness about the Games, the Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs, Meghalaya together with the North Eastern Hill University and Sports Authority of India, Shillong will organize a 6.5K Run and other fun games as promotional activity on February 15, 2024 starting at 9.00 am at the parking lot NEHU Administrative Block, Shillong.
Participants are requested to register themselves online at bit.ly/4bCBgqwand also offline registration at the office of the District Sports Officer, East Khasi Hills District, Shillong located at JN Sports Complex Polo, Shillong on February 13 and 14, 2024 during office hours.
On the spot registration will also be accepted on February 15, at the starting point between 7.30 am to 8.30 am.
Free T-Shirt and Chest number will be distributed on race day from 7.30 am only to registered participants at the starting point.
The race will be a 6.5K Open Category event for male and female participants who have attained the age of 18
The 1st prize awarded will be Rs 5,000, whilst the second and third best finishers will be awarded Rs 3,000 and Rs 2000 respectively.
Consolation cash prize of Rs 1000 for the above 50 years (both male & female) top five finishers will also be awarded.03
