Donkin CC edge past Lumpangad in 1st Division

By Our Reporter

Shillong, Feb 14: The Shillong Cricket League 1st Division kicked off today at the SCA ground in Polo with a nail-biting encounter between Donkin CC and Lumpangad CC. Donkin CC, batting first after winning the toss, could only muster 104 runs in 24.4 overs.
Despite Vishal Konwar’s 24 and Rohit Rai’s 21, Lumpangad CC’s disciplined bowling, spearheaded by Vishal Kumar Balmiki (4/14) and Abhay Kumar Rai (2/15), restricted their scoring.

Donkin CC ultimately secured a well fought but narrow 13-run victory, setting the stage for a promising Shillong League season.
