Locals take part in BSF prog

SHILLONG, Feb 15: Locals exuded spirit as they participated in a Civic Action Programme organised by 100th Battalion of BSF Meghalaya at Border Outpost Dalu, West Garo Hills, on Thursday. The event was graced by Ajay Kumar Tiwari, Commandant 100 Bn BSF.
The event commenced with a 3 km Marathon featuring spirited involvement of students from bordering schools. The marathon aimed to promote a healthy lifestyle and community spirit among the youth.
As part of the initiative to encourage sportsmanship, bicycles and sports items were distributed among the winners of the marathon. The gesture not only recognised the talent and effort of the participants but also emphasised the BSF’s commitment to fostering a positive environment for the development of local youth.
The program was also attended by local headmen and villagers, who expressed their gratitude to the BSF for its role in supporting the educational and physical well-being of the students.
